THE FESTIVAL
THE LATIN CHOREOGRAPHERS FESTIVAL
Was founded in 2008 by Dancer and Choreographer Ursula Verduzco. By inaugurating this first annual event it became the forefront of the latin dancing community.
Our mission is to present and showcase in NYC the work of talented and innovatig Latin choreographers, as well as one guest (non-Latin) choreographer or Company per year, in an environment where the general public, the International Dance Community and the Latin Community can feel welcomed and empowered.
Through concert dance and the styles of Contemporary Ballet, Modern Dance and Contemporary Dance, talented and innovative established, new and rising choreographers from New York City and abroad show their work.
The audience will benefit from the opportunity to experience and appreciate different works and points of view from artists of various Latin backgrounds.
This up-and-coming dance festival is in its fourth year, proudly presenting the work of established, rising and new talented choreographers from New York City and abroad.
Participants have included choreographers from Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Spain and Ecuador.
We are very excited to bring this event supported in part by Teatro IATI which welcomes “THE LATIN CHOREOGRAPHERS FESTIVAL”, directed as well by Ursula Verduzco.
As dancers and choreographers, it is our responsibility to create, support and empower our world of dance.
Let's Keep Dance and Opportunities ALIVE!!
